Calla Evans is a photographer, arts facilitator, and digital-problem-solver. She lives on the unceded and stolen lands of the Stz’uminus, Penelakut, Lyackson, and Halalt peoples, colonially known as Saltair, BC. Calla is also a fat activist, working towards a more size-inclusive outdoor industry.

Calla’s work explores fat visual culture, embodied identity performance, plus-size fashion and fat activism. She has run a successful photography business for over 15 years. Calla is also an experienced teacher and continues to mentor emerging photographers and creative business owners. She is a storytelling facilitator working with Re•Vision: Centre for Art & Social Justice and the founder and lead facilitator of the arts-based research, evaluation, and advocacy organization Brave Ellie.
